Why Your Confirmation Code Isn't Arriving

Codes are sent from hello@eventcapsule.camera and expire after 10 minutes. Check spam, confirm the address, wait about 30 seconds between requests, then request a fresh code and use the newest one.

Where the email comes from

Confirmation codes are sent from hello@eventcapsule.camera with a 6-digit code in the body. If it is not in your inbox within a minute, it is almost always filtering or a mistyped address rather than a failure to send.

Work through these in order

  1. Check the spam, junk, promotions and updates folders — search your mailbox for "eventcapsule".
  2. Confirm the address you typed. The code is only sent to the address entered on screen, and a typo sends it nowhere useful.
  3. Wait a few seconds before requesting another code. Repeat requests for the same address are rate limited to roughly one every 30 seconds, and a rapid retry is refused rather than sent.
  4. Request a fresh code and use the newest one. Codes expire 10 minutes after they are sent.
  5. Add hello@eventcapsule.camera to your contacts, then request one more code.

Common causes

  • Corporate or school mail filters quietly quarantining transactional email — a personal address usually works.
  • Aliases and forwarding rules delivering the message to a mailbox you are not currently looking at.
  • Using an older code after requesting a new one. Only the most recent unexpired code is valid.

What you should see

A valid, unexpired code entered on the verification screen signs you straight into your host dashboard or your list of events.

Still nothing?
