Confirm whether the free tier is permanent for that event or a temporary trial. Check whether a card is required, whether the plan renews, which features change after the trial, and whether taxes or currency affect a later upgrade. Look for separate limits on invited guests, people who can join, total event uploads, uploads per guest, file size, file type, and video. Do not assume that an advertised photo total is the only cap. The most important question is what happens at the limit. Does the next upload fail, can the host remove duplicates to make space, or can the event be upgraded without changing the QR code? If the answer is unclear, ask support before printing invitations or signs.

Wedding photographs may include children, private conversations, travel details, or guests who do not want an image shared broadly. Tell people who can view the collection, make contribution optional, and provide a simple way to request removal. Keep a private guest gallery separate from images selected for public social posts.
The Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada explains that meaningful consent requires people to understand the nature, purpose, and consequences of collecting, using, or disclosing personal information. In practical terms, do not treat a guest upload as automatic permission for advertising or unrestricted public reuse.
Decide whether photos appear immediately, after host moderation, or at a chosen reveal time. A delayed reveal can keep attention on the celebration and give the host a review window for accidental, duplicate, private, or unsuitable submissions.

Print the recognizable domain or short link beside the code, and introduce the same destination through a known wedding channel. The Canadian Centre for Cyber Security and the U.S. Federal Trade Commission advise people to inspect a QR code's destination and watch for altered, unexpected, or spoofed links.
Use the final event code rather than a design placeholder. Test the actual printed piece in venue-like lighting and at the distance guests will stand. Inspect signs before the reception begins and remove them when the upload period ends, especially in shared venues.

A photo collection is not complete until the couple has a usable copy. Confirm whether the free plan includes a bulk download, whether files are original or compressed, when downloads become available, and how long the service keeps the gallery. Download the collection promptly after reveal and open the archive before assuming it is complete. Keep at least two copies in different places, such as a computer and a separate cloud or external drive. Create a test event with the settings you plan to use. Ask two people with different phones to join, upload a small batch, trigger moderation or reveal, and download the result. Test the host view and the guest view in private browser windows so saved sessions do not hide a permission problem.
Repeat the scan with the final printed QR code, then decide. If the free plan comfortably covers your upper estimate and includes the controls you need, it may be a sensible choice. If the capacity is tight or an essential feature requires an upgrade, choose the paid tier before guests receive the link.
